Jostedalsbreen (Norwegian for "Jostedal Glacier") is a glacier in Norway, located in the county of Sogn og Fjordane. It has an extension of approximately 487 km², which makes this glacier the largest in continental Europe. The glacier is maintained by the high level of snowfall and low temperatures. Since 1991 the Jostedalsbreen National Park has been established which includes the entire surface of the glacier and constitutes its main component.
