The Arctic Cathedral, also known as Tromsdalen Church, is located in the city of Tromsø. This place of worship was built in 1965 by the architect Jan Inge Hovig. The glass mosaic at the entrance was added later by the artist Victor Sparre, and represents the hand of God from which 3 rays of light emanate. The church is often referred to as the "Norwegian Opera House", due to its resemblance to the Sydney Opera House.
