For Beatles and music lovers, a must-see is the Strawberry Fields Memorial. The memorial is located in the middle of Central Park, a few steps from the Dakota building where John Lennon was killed on December 8, 1980. At 74th Street, on the Upper West Side, the Straberry Fields memorial covers an area of about 10 thousand square meters, inaugurated 5 years after Lennon's death in his memory. It is not uncommon to meet, while walking through the park, a musician intent on playing the very song that gives the Memorial its name.
