Located in the heart of Fort Hamilton at Bay Ridge, the Harbor Defense Museum describes the history and evolution of NYC's coastal defense systems. In addition to this, it houses a well-assorted collection of military artifacts from the first revolutionary and then world wars.
The small museum will certainly captivate you, when you enter its secret tunnel that connects the fort with a base more than a mile away, a Confederate mine, old maps of the fort, military uniforms and weapons, even heavy caliber and very rare.
