Tilicho Lake is a lake located in the Manang district of Nepal, 55 kilometers as the crow flies from the city of Pokhara. It is located at an elevation of 4,919 meters in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas and is known as the highest lake in the world. Lake Tilicho is very popular with tourists, not only for the fantastic views it offers, but also for the pleasant hikes required to reach it.
According to the Nepalese Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (2003), no aquatic organisms have been recorded in the lake.
