Shanti Stupa is a pagoda-style Buddhist monument on Ananda Hill of the former Pumdi Bhumdi Village Development Committee. Shanti Stupa in Pokhara was built by the monk Nipponzan-Myōhōji Morioka Sonin. Shanti is a Sanskrit word meaning peace, also widely used in Nepali and Hindi languages, and Shanti Stupa means Peace Pagoda. From here a panoramic view of Annapurna range, Pokhara city and Fewa lake.
