The Virgiliano park, also known as the "Parco della Rimembranza", is a panoramic park located in the Posillipo district, in Naples. It was built between the 1920s and 1930s on the orders of the High Commissioner for the Province of Naples and opened in 1931 (year IX of the Fascist era) as the park of Victory or Beauty. It extends over an area of about 92,000 m² at 150 m above sea level, on the promontory of the Posillipo hill, which is crossed by the Seiano cave under the park.
The park is characterized by a system of terraces overlooking the Gulf of Naples, from which it is possible to see, in addition to the vast panorama of the gulf, the steep rock walls of the promontory on which the park is located.
