The church of Panagia Paraportiani (whose translation is Virgin Mary) is located in the Kastro district of Mykonos. It is made up of a cluster of five churches, all with the same white lime colour. The construction of them goes from 1475, when the first was built, to the seventeenth century, building them side by side. The first four were then merged to become the foundations of a fifth church, above the others, also equipped with a dome. The name means secondary door or internal door due to the fact that it was built in one of the ancient doors of the ancient city wall.
