This lighthouse was built in 1891, on the promontory of Armenisti, at a distance of about 5 kilometers from the city centre. Its construction was decided after the sinking of a steamship and the death of 11 crew members in 1887 north of the beach of Mykonos. Its remote location and its facade immune to any architectural restyling make it one of the most romantic corners of Mykonos and a perfect location for dreamy sunsets.
