Collection of Ancient Egypt art at Staatliche Sammlung für Ägyptische Kunst

The Egyptian State Museum (Staatliches Museum Ägyptischer Kunst) in Munich originally dates back to the collection of Duke Albert V of Bavaria.

It is currently located in the Munich Residence, but it is a temporary arrangement; in fact, a new building is under construction, opposite the Pinacoteca Vecchia in the Kunstareal museum district.
