This convent is probably the best known cloister in the southwestern part of the city of Moscow. The territory of the convent is enclosed within the walls and surrounded by a park, which forms the buffer zone. Its construction dates back to the 16th century, and in 2004 it was proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
