Cathedral of Christ the Saviour

The Cathedral of Christ the Savior is an Orthodox cathedral located in Moscow near the Moskva River. This building was built to show the gratitude of the Russian people to Divine Providence for having been spared by Napoleon's soldiers. After Lenin's death in 1931, the cathedral was demolished and rebuilt only in the early 2000s.
