Surely one of the most spectacular rocky landscapes in Italy that bears witness to the ancient relationship between nature and man. The Regional Archaeological Park of the Natural History of the Rupestrian Churches of Matera, more simply known as the Park of the Murgia Materana, is characterized by a soft rock made up of deep grooves that draw cliffs, gorges, caves, ravines used by man who has settled there since prehistory.
