Sahara

Desert Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech borders the Sahara, the largest hot desert in the world. The desert includes much of North Africa, including Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Sudan and Tunisia, but with the exception of the fertile region on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The Sahara consists mainly of stone plateaus, and large areas covered by sand dunes, many of which are more than 180 meters high.
