The Saadian Tombs are tombs that date back to the time of the Saadi dynasty sultan Ahmad al-Mansur (1578-1603). This important historical artifact was only discovered several centuries later, in 1917 when the Moroccan Ministry of Fine Arts decided to restore it. The mausoleum includes the burials of about sixty members of the Saadi dynasty, originally from the Draa River valley.
The building is made up of a total of 3 rooms, the best known being the one containing the tomb of the sultan's son. Outside the building there is a garden, in which the graves of soldiers and servants are arranged.
