The Majorelle Gardens are a complex of botanical and landscape gardens located in Marrakech. In 1931 the French artist Jacques Majorelle designed these gardens, even creating a new color (cobalt blue) with which to paint the walls of the villa, which was opened to the public 16 years later. With an area of 8000 square meters it houses a large collection of plants including cacti, palms and bamboo; and is a veritable paradise for ornithologists.
