The Ben Youssef Madrasa was an Arab-Andalusian Koranic school of architecture in Marrakech, Morocco, named after the Almoravid emir Ali ibn Yusu. The building was built between 1564 and 1565, commissioned by Sultan Abdullah al-Ghalib. Inside the madresa you will notice stucco decorations, which as required by the Islamic religion do not portray human figures but only geometric or floral motifs.
