Nosy Komba is a small volcanic island of Madagascar, located between Nosy Be and the northwestern coast of the mother island. It is also called Nosy Ambariovato, which in the Malagasy language means "island surrounded by rocks", due to the volcanic rock outcrops that crown it. Covered in dense tropical forest, it is home to a rich and varied fauna and flora.
