Île aux Nattes (also officially, but less commonly, called Nosy Nato) is a small island south of Île Sainte-Marie, an island off the east coast of Madagascar. The only way to reach the island is by lakana (traditional wooden canoes also known as dugout canoes) from Sainte Marie. A few lakanas are always waiting on the beach just southwest of the airport runway, and the journey will only take a few minutes.
