The National Museum of Palazzo Mansi is one of the two main art museums housing tapestry collections and mainly post-nineteenth-century art collections owned by the city of Lucca. The collection is exhibited in the Baroque palace, formerly belonging to the Mansi family, and located in the center of Lucca. Many of the room's original decorations remain in place. The interior houses a highly decorated chamber alcove with gilded caryatid columns flanking the portal.
