The ruins of an ancient church, a fountain, plants and vines: these are the ingredients that make St Dunstan-In-the-East a small oasis of peace in the heart of the City. The perfect place to take a break in nature, to relax between one visit and another, or to take magnificent photographs.
The old medieval church of 1200, damaged by the Great Fire of 1666 and immediately rebuilt, was partly destroyed by a bombing during the Second World War. In the 1960s it was decided not to rebuild it and to leave the ruins to make them a public garden.
