Born as private gardens of Kensington Palace, today they are part of the Royal Parks and are the most precious and well-kept in the city. Located on the western edge of Hyde Park, the gardens contain many attractions such as Kensington Palace, residence of Lady Diana, the Albert Memorial, the statue of Queen Victoria and the statue of Peter Pan.
Today the palace is open to visitors and offers a unique insight into the history of the UK's monarchy. The artificial lake in the center of the park is called The Long Water, while the other part, located in Hyde Park, is called The Serpentine. For children there is the unmissable Diana Memorial Playground, a beautiful play area inspired by the story of Peter Pan.
