Since its inauguration in 2011, the Heron Tower is still the tallest building in the City, the third tallest in the whole city. Inside there is a 70,000-litre aquarium which houses 1,200 fish belonging to 60 different species, a bar and a restaurant open 24 hours a day, which are located between the 38th and 40th floors.
Renamed Salesforce Tower in the name of the tenant, it has undergone several ups and downs in the planning stage. Due to the obstruction of the view of St. Paul's Cathedral from Waterloo Bridge, the time frame for the original project was not short. Aesthetically unattractive, the Heron Tower was not even interesting for its use since only 60% of the available spaces are still used.
