The Castelo dos Mouros is a castle located in the district of Lisbon and which is an integral part of the cultural landscape of Sintra, one of the World Heritage Sites of Portugal. The castle is of Moorish origin, but the current building is the result of a renovation carried out in the 19th century. The views from the walls and towers of the castle are breathtaking, as it is possible to admire the town of Sintra with its royal palace, as well as the Palácio da Pena.
