One of the most remarkable examples of 18th-century Portuguese engineering Águas Livres Aqueduct

The Aqueduct of the Free Waters (Portuguese: aqueduto das Águas Livres) is a historic aqueduct in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. It was built starting in 1732 to make up for the chronic lack of drinking water supply in Lisbon. It is one of the examples of Portuguese engineering in the 18th century.
