The church of San Giacomo is located in Bellagio in the hamlet of Borgo, one of the most beautiful and characteristic places on Lake Como. The basilica of San Giacomo develops on a rectangular plan, divided into three naves with semicircle arches (round), the large vaults are supported by mighty columns. The structure and the pillars are built with Pietra Moltrasina, the capitals and bases of the columns with Granitone, a rock obtained from the erratic boulders present in the Lario area.
