Tō-ji Temple

Japan's tallest wooden tower Tō-ji Temple

To-ji is a Japanese Buddhist temple, and is one of the oldest temples in the city of Kyoto. The name To - jo, translated means eastern temple, because it was built on the east side of the city. The main hall contains 21 statues arranged to create a sculptural mandala.
