La Torre di Davide (conosciuta anche come Cittadella di Davide) è uno dei monumenti più importanti di Gerusalemme. La torre visibile oggi, situata nei pressi della Porta di Giaffa nella Città Vecchia, fu originariamente costruita nel II sec. a.C. per rafforzare le difese militari della città. La torre fu in seguito distrutta e ricostruita più volte. Il museo della cittadella riporta in vita la storia di Gerusalemme e offre mostre temporanee e attività per visitatori di tutte le età.

Amazing experience even if you like history or not... Besides ruins, artifacts and exhibitions, here you have the most beautiful view of Jerusalem. A “must see” if you visit the Old City of Jerusalem!

Worth a combined ticket for the light show at night and the museum in the day time. Information on history of Israel, Jerusalem and The Tower of David really well presented. Good to walk around the battlements with good views over Jerusalem (old city and new). Excellent museum.
