Mong Kok (also spelled Mongkok, often abbreviated to MK) is an area in Yau Tsim Mong District on the western part of the Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong. The area is characterized by a mixture of old and new high-rise buildings, with street-level shops and restaurants, and commercial or residential units. The major industries in Mong Kok are retail, restaurants (including fast food) and entertainment.
