St. Peter's Church

The Church of St. Peter, (Haputkirche St. Petri), is located near the Town Hall and is one of the main churches in Hamburg. The St. Petri church is the oldest church in the city, having existed since 1195. The door handle of the church, in the shape of a lion's head, is believed to be the oldest work of art in Hamburg.
