Graz Castle stands on a hill in the center of the Austrian city of Graz. It is the major tourist attraction in Graz, never occupied during its history until the partial demolition suffered following the peace of Schönbrunn of 1809 by the Napoleonic forces. A "Uhrturm", i.e. a "Clock Tower", is part of the castle, one of the symbols of the city. Near the Tower there is a bar from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the city from above. To reach the top of the hill, you can take the ancient paths that connected it to the city, or you can take a modern funicular or an elevator built inside the mountain.
