The church of Gesu in Genoa (or, more precisely, the church of Saints Ambrogio and Andrea) is located in the center of the city, in Piazza Matteotti, adjacent to Piazza De Ferrari. Run by the Jesuits since the sixteenth century, the very rich interiors contain works by Rubens, Reni, and the major authors of the Genoese Baroque. It is the same square overlooked by the Palazzo Ducale and the palace of the Genoese archiepiscopal curia.
