Boccadasse

Village Genoa, Italy

Ancient fishing village Boccadasse

Boccadasse (Boca d'azë or Bocadâze in Genoese) is an ancient fishing village in the city of Genoa, which is part of the Albaro district. In the current administrative subdivision of the municipality of Genoa it is therefore included in the Municipality VIII - Medio Levante, which in addition to Albaro also includes the districts of Foce and San Martino. Conventionally, the small district of Boccadasse is delimited by via Cavallotti (which delimits the village to the west towards Albaro), via Caprera which separates it from upper Sturla and via del Capo di S. Chiara, to the east of which extends Vernazzola, another small village marinaro which is part of the Sturla district. To the south, of course, the border is the coastline.
