The Certosa of Florence is a monastery, formerly of the Carthusian Order, which stands on Monte Acuto, surrounded by a high circle of walls. The majestic convent complex is today a single museum, a splendid container of works of art dating from the 14th to the 18th century. Currently all the rooms of the monastery can be visited for free: the cloisters, the friars' cells, the chapels and the art gallery.“
