The Lim channel is the largest Adriatic fjord in northwestern Croatia. It is located in the central southern part of the western coast of Istria, between Vrsar and Rovinj. It is 11.5 km long, 600 m wide on average and represents the submerged part of a karst valley. The slopes flanking the channel, up to 150 m high, are partly covered with scrub, partly wooded and give the appearance of a canyon.
