The Krka National Park (Krka in Croatian) is a protected natural area in Croatia established in 1985. It is located in the region of Šibenik-Knin, in Dalmatia. The park also borders the town of Scardona, which is also the main entrance to the park. The park is known for its waterfalls, formed by tufa beds, for its rich fauna and great biodiversity: 18 species of fish, 222 species of birds, 18 different species of bat, reptiles and amphibians for a total of about 860 species .
