The Brijuni Islands (Brijuni in Croatian) are a small Croatian archipelago in the Adriatic Sea, made up of fourteen islands that extend for a total of 8 km². The largest island is Brijuni Major (Veliki Brijun) which is 2 km from the Croatian coast, the other island that can be visited is Brijuni Minor (Mali Brijun) which covers an area of 1.07 km². The archipelago is home to several archaeological and cultural sites, and has also been a national park since 1983.
