Manarola, an ancient village on the Ligurian Riviera di Levante, is a fraction of the municipality of Riomaggiore, and constitutes one of the Cinque Terre.
The typical tower-houses of the village of Manarola are perched on a steep promontory of dark rock. The main monument of the hamlet is the church of San Lorenzo built in 1338. This village is the most peaceful of the Cinque Terre, the numerous walks that revolve around the village are very pleasant for tourists and not to be missed is the large luminous crib (8/12-20/1) which occupies a large part of the 'Collora' hill in the Christmas period.
