Corniglia, an ancient village on the Ligurian Riviera di Levante and part of the municipality of Vernazza, is one of the towns that make up the Cinque Terre.
The village of Corniglia differs considerably from the others in the Cinque Terre due to its elevated position with respect to the sea. The houses, lower than those of the other villages, develop on a promontory, about a hundred meters high, which plunges steeply and inaccessibly towards the sea. This hamlet is a pleasant and peaceful place to visit, more inconvenient than the sea, but with breathtaking views.
