The new church to house the religious order of Friars Minor Observant was built in the mid-17th century; it is characterized by a single nave and houses, in the thickness of the side walls, four chapels decorated with stuccos. The subsoil served as a sepulchral area and no less than fourteen tombs have been found there, probably of fellow monks. Externally, the structure is very simple, typical of Franciscan architectural elements, with a facade punctuated by a stained glass window like a rose window and a sculpted marble portal.
