The Museum of Science and Industry, built on the occasion of the Universal Architecture Exhibition in 1893, is a historic scientific institution, whose headquarters are located in the Hyde Park district near Lake Michigan. The museum houses a still working coal mine, a German submarine dating back to WWII, a 330m model railway and finally Apollo 8.
