The Merchandise Mart, or Merc Mart, is located in the heart of Chicago's financial area. Built in 1930 by Marshall Field & Co. and later owned for more than half a century by the Kennedy family, the Mart centralized Chicago's wholesale business. Thanks to the art deco style and its 372,000 square meters, it is able to host more than 20,000 visitors every day.
