The Magnificent Mile, sometimes referred to as The Mag Mile, is an upscale area of Chicago's Michigan Avenue, running from the Chicago River to Oak Street on the Near North Side. Real estate developer Arthur Rubloff of the Rubloff Company gave the district its nickname in the 1940s. Currently the largest shopping district in Chicago, where you can find 460 stores, 275 restaurants, 60 hotels, and media companies.
