The Château d'Ussé, with its fortified towers, turrets and spiers, resembles a fairytale castle. This splendid castle, which has something to make both the youngest and the oldest dream, would have inspired Charles Perrault for his famous fairy tale, Sleeping Beauty. Built in the 15th and 16th centuries, and located in Rigny-Ussé, the Château d'Ussé, still inhabited today, is open to the public from February to November.
