Château di Beauregard

Castle Châteaux of the Loire Valley, France

Beauregard Castle is located in Cellettes, a commune a few kilometers south of Blois. The first construction dates back to the 15th century by the will of the Doulcet family; Francis I used it as a hunting reserve, and was subsequently modified by Jean du Thier, humanist and secretary of state under Henri II. Thanks to him the castle was enlarged and decorated with frescoes and works of art.
