The Cape of Good Hope (Portuguese: Cabo da Boa Esperança) is the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa. Traditionally, but erroneously, it is considered as the southernmost point of the African continent and as a point of separation between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean; in reality, the primacy belongs to chief Agulhas.
