The Stasimuseum is located in Berlin in the Lichtenberg district. The site of the museum was the seat of the Ministry of State Security of the GDR from 1950 to 1990.
Currently the museum is divided into two floors, the description of the objects and documents are only in German. The objects contained are mainly attributable to the espionage and environmental interception activity carried out by the Stasi. There are testimonies of people persecuted by the Stasi. There are also two glass jars containing pieces of tissue, for the olfactory identification of suspects.
