The Jewish Museum Berlin is the largest Jewish museum in Europe. The two buildings, one of which is a specially designed extension by architect Daniel Libeskind, a permanent collection and various temporary exhibitions tell the story of two millennia of Jewish history in Germany.
The Jewish Museum is one of the most impressive in the world. The visitor's experience is not only in looking, observing and admiring the works and installations on display, the Holocaust Museum is one of the most 'interactive' on a sensorial level. The various rooms are recreated in order to perceive with all the senses what could have been the 'journey of death'. The collection begins with rooms dedicated to medieval settlements along the Rhine, moving on to the Baroque period and ending with the First and Second World War.
