The Berlin TV Tower is a tower for radio and television transmitting antennas near AlexanderPlatz, a well-known landmark of the city. With its 368 meters it is the tallest building in Germany and the fourth tallest building in Europe.
In 1969, the year it was completed, it was the second tallest television tower in the world and, with over one million visitors a year, it was among the ten most popular sights in Germany.
