Berlin Central Station was opened on 26 May 2006, and is the largest multi-level intersection railway station in Europe.
It is located in the city center (on the Stadtbahn) in the Moabit district, between the river port called Humboldthafen and the Spree river, a short distance from the Reichstag (now the seat of the Federal Parliament). It won the Bahnhof des Jahres award in 2007.
